Darina Zajic (born 1983) is a minor character in The IT Files. A Czech junior Europol Liaison Officer (ELO), Darina is based out of Prague, working primarily with the Police of the Czech Republic, the French GIGN and Interpol.
Biography[]
Darina was born in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), the daughter of major coal magnates. Born into wealth, Darina was spoiled as a child and often traveled Europe to visit cities like Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin. While eventually Darina's family lost control of their major coal operations in Ostrava it simply caused them to travel more, leading to Darina often being educated by private tutors. In the year 2000 Darina's family even made it to Los Angeles, where Darina spent her summer enjoying her newfound lesbianism. One night at a club that allowed rich minors inside Darina met Erika Stone, the two ending up becoming their first lovers. While after that summer Darina rarely returned to the United States the two did continue to correspond.
After finishing her high school equivalent education Darina began attending the Ark Institute of Technology, studying computer science. While Darina's parents had paid her way into the school she did excel, though compared to most of the other students she tended to be unremarkable. Having ultimately specialized in cyber crime, Darina took her degree into law enforcement. After a brief stint with the Police of the Czech Republic, Darina was snatched up by Europol. A junior Europol Liaison Officer, Darina received some mentoring by the more experienced Tekla Malmer. When Tekla went missing in Prague Darina worked with Team Gamma to rescue her and members of GRID from Tamaya Qillaq.
