Sara 2.0 Test

S.A.R.A., an acronym for Simulated Analysis Recon Assistant and frequently just called Sara, is one of the most advanced pieces of hardware and software programs in the world. CyTek developed Sara with input from Stone Enterprises and it is currently undergoing extensive testing before becoming commercially available.

History[]

Art Vandelay worked for years in the field of holographic technology, looking to use 3D cameras to capture images and then accurately recreate them. The first proper test model for Sara came in 2003 but was little more than a wire-frame representation of a person, the 1.0 focused more on functionality. 2.0, completed in 2005, was able to project a smaller image with an accurate model of a subject and had moderate functionality. Lana Rollins of Stone Enterprises began contributing to the project in 2007, becoming the test model for 3.0. Finally in early 2009 Sara 4.0 was completed and CyTek began discreetly distributing it to Stone Enterprises and a select few other companies, including the International Temporal Enforcement Agency, seeing just what kind of applications it could have. Sara 4.0 does have its own unique projector that can plug into any commercial computer, be it a PC, laptop, CyPad or even a CyPocket, though it does use up a lot of power. The hologram image, while able to accurately simulate anyone scanned in and with proper voice data, can still freeze from time to time due to rendering issues.

Usages[]

Sara is a projected hologram that is able both act as a human-simulated interface for a computer and analyze any location she can be projected into. While designed to lack artificial intelligence in terms of a personality the program is still designed to be able to do advanced problem-solving, taking in input and given what other databases and software it has access to offer suggestions or conclusions. Sara at her most basic form is an advanced search engine, able to take input and answer questions based on vocal commands. Sara's 'eyes' are a visual metaphor for a scanning procedure within her software that can analyze any location where her hologram can be projected, looking at the composition of materials, get on-site visual enhancement and develop conclusions based on the input. Sara due to her analysis abilities was considered as a viable possible scientific virtual assistant as well as crime scene investigation program, while also making basic computer interaction more pleasant. Modern firing ranges have also employed the technology to create more realistic targets and tracking of shots fired.
